Synthesis and adaptive strategies

The Environment Agency [UK] is responsible for leading the complex task of gathering and synthesizing the information and knowledge generated within Safecoasts' various actions.

This should result into a joint vision and common understanding of all Safecoast partners on how flood risk management can use Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM), to secure appropriate spatial planning
and coastal flood risk responses in the future. A synthesis of the results of both
the cohesion and focused actions and other relevant developments in the North Sea countries will need to be made.

The plan is to draw together the general lines, findings and conclusions from all the Safecoast Actions and other relevant initiatives to provide valuable information for researchers and policy makers in the North Sea region on how to adapt to climate change impacts when it comes to coastal flooding and
erosion.
